The comprehensive inventory of thriving: a systematic review of published validation studies and a replication study

Abstract In this study we sought to collect evidence regarding the validity of Comprehensive Inventory Thriving (CIT), systematically reviewing studies that tested its psychometric properties (Study 1) and trying replicate collected across previous validation 2). We found five CIT scores through collection different kinds (score structure validity, convergent discriminant criterion-related incremental internal consistency, test-retest reliability). Results were often inconsistent (especially for score evidence). Using a sample 483 Italian participants (63.0% female; aged 18–71 years), replicated tests performed in studies. Findings suggest best fitting model is one (1) adds overarching latent construct thriving, which can be measured using total scale score; (2) merges Skills Flow factors just factor, named “Skills Flow”. At same time, both current replication indicate high overlap among thriving sub-dimensions poor evidence. concluded present form not an adequate instrument assess thus mono-dimensional scales (e.g. Brief Thriving) should currently preferred. Suggestions develop multi-dimensional measuring (both theory-driven approach or data-drive approach) are discussed.
